I just wanted to let you know I recieved the manhattan bag. Wonderful, it is bursting with space. Great for my purposes. I use the shoulder padding and its just great. I also wanted to let you know that my wife was so impressed with how it looked and how useful it was that we ordered 3 for her nephews that are graduating highschool. If only I would have had it in college!

I am an Irish man living in Denmark. I bought this beauty on my first trip to New York. I've always had a backpack where I keep things, I like to travel and have emergency supplies of all sorts planted everywhere. This is a great size for a bag, wallet, keys, phone, notepad, personal organiser, Ipod, sunglasses, it all fits, and to each it's own section. I find it wonderul in the summer where you don't have a coat to keep all these things in and dont want to walk around with huge "rob me" bulging pockets. I was delighted to find this website too as my dog ate the strap on my first bag (now a good 5 years old), so looks like time for a new one!

I bought the Manhattan bag when I first moved to NYC. I carry way too many things with me to bother with a purse... I need space for my books that i read on the subway, sketchpad, datebook... this bag fits everything. The front pocket allows easy access to my keys and wallet, the interior is spacious enough for large things, even a textbook or two. The material of the bag is great, too. It's been dropped and dragged and smashed by subway doors and still looks great. I would recommend this bag to anyone for daily use.

My whole family has been using Mahanttan Portage bags since they still had the leather "John Peters" label (which by the way is our only complaint, we all liked the leather label better). We are a Wallstreeter family, although to us it's just "the bag," it was 10 years before we knew there were other kinds. I just got another style, first in the family. I hate carrying a purse and the Wallstreeter is too big for just around town so I'm trying the Manhattan Bag. So far so good. I wish it had a small zipper pocket in the inside. But I'm nitpicking. What I do like about this bag, and what I was first hestitant about, is how tall it is. I was looking for a purse substitute and it's not really shaped like a purse, but, it's the right height for file folders, so I can use it for work when I don't have much to carry. I'm thinking about testing out the small DJ bag, that seems purse like. As for color, is there any other color than black? Maybe in another 10 years we'll try grey. Keep up the good work, if it wasn't for Manhattan Portage bags my whole family would be carrying around a lot of loose junk. There is no substitute.
